We decided to make the most of it and join in with the Pillow Fight at the Tribal Tournament Stage, which we heard is a highlight and we weren’t disappointed, what fun! This is where most of the fun happens with it being central to Just So with things to do from Circus Workshops, Hula Hooping, Bubbles and Tribal activities. Along the way toasting and devouring marshmallows by the fires. We sat by the Campfire and enjoyed songs from Ian Douglas and performances, explored through the Forest through the Barefoot Walk, past the Woodland Theatre to Away with the Fairies to make a magical wand all the way up to the Silver Screen. Wow, what can I say about this, a massive hit with the kids and us for that matter. Taking our seats in the glorius sunshine we enjoyed the fun, games and singing with chick and her dad in their nest! The Spellbound Forest We also took the time to see Flit, Flap and Fly, a show for all ages telling the story of a young bird’s journey to independence through song and audience participation. Peekaboo is a brilliant area primarily suited for ages 0-4with loads of activities from Mud Play, Storytime, Arts and Crafts, Shake Rattle and Roll for those musical little ones and more not forgetting The Adventures of Snigel the Snail and Flit, Flap and Fly!Īs a family with little ones, this was perfect for us and a particular favourite was Snigel the Snail with her amazing bubbles! Our Just So Weekend Highlights Peekaboo Area As we were all hungry we got a bite to eat and then went on our exploring expedition and enjoy our Family Arts Just So Festival Weekend. Mid-afternoon came and we were all sorted and raring to go and made our way to the Festival Gates to get our wrist bands and then through to the fun. Taking it back to the car with toddler in tow, we loaded up the tent and decided to go back for the rest once the tent was up. We hit a little traffic en-route but this didn’t dampen our spirits and when we arrived, were directed to our car parking spot and then to the Trolley Hire tent. The excitement kicked in for us all then and we busily started to plan what would be our ‘must see’ events at Just So Festival 2017, with so many to choose from we decided we would see a few things and then go with it from there.įestival Day arrived on Friday 18 August 2017 and after enjoying our breakfast packed up the car with the last few bits and bobs and made our way to Rode Hall, Cheshire – the Just So location. We hadn’t have worried as there is something for every age group and plenty of great activities to keep us entertained all weekend long. On the run up to the Festival we checked out the programme and what we can do whilst we were at Just So, as with this being our first ever time, we were unsure what to expect and even what would be on for the kids whilst there. So off we went to write our very long list of things to take (packing lightly isn’t easy with the kids as we all know!) and buying any additional camping things. This is where Just So Festival came about, we were researching camping, where to go and what to do and upon reading about it, decided to go for the whole hog and enjoy 3 Day Festival Camping. We opted for the latter as with two children under the age of 4 we thought a beach holiday would be more difficult seeing as my youngest has still to learn to walk! When we were starting to plan the summer holidays for 2017, we as a family weren’t quite sure what to do, go abroad or stay in the UK. Find out how we got on at our first ever visit to Just So Festival, Rhode Hall, Cheshire
